Day 44 Tarbert to Campbelltown

Friday August 6th. 43 miles. 3 hours 41 minutes.

Weather: Cool / misty / very damp

Accommodation - The Hall (B&B)

Not quite the day I had expected. The locals in Tarbert said that the difficult undulating 'B' road (single track for long sections) would offer fine views of Arran - not a chance with the mist, low cloud cover and rain that fell for most of the day.

On the upside, despite the miserable weather conditions, the road itself, even with a few steep climbs, proved not to be quite as challenging as I had expected. Of note was the completion of 2500 miles (halfway point) at Carradale (photos taken at harbour to mark the occasion).

For the first time an evening meal was on offer at my B&B, so I ate in and was glad I did (very tasty).
