Sunday 27th June.

Pwllheli (nr Portmaddog) - Menai Bridge ( Anglesey). 53 Miles 3 hours 59 minutes.

Weather - Hot and Sunny.

Accommodation - Anglesey Arms Hotel (Manager - Joe Barnett & Justyna).

Phil is checking into a hotel to watch the England v Germany World Cup game, and then tomorrow will be circumnavigating Anglesey... Whic caused me a problem as I had, errr.. left it off the map. (Apologies to all residents!)

Short but pleasent ride today for Phil. Rode out on to Lleyn Peninsula. Phil expected a hard cycle but the return leg all the way along the north coast to the Menai Bridge was aided by south westerly winds which he was very pleased with.

Finished cycling early in time to watch the England v Germany game in the bar of the Anglesey Arms Hotel (Phils accommodation for the next two nights) Phil witnessed the disappointing performance followed by an unsuprising exit from the World Cup! On the upside Phil got chatting to Joe and Linda who are not only the owners of the Hotel but keen cyclists. Joe and a keen cycling friend are going to be aiding Phil in his 70 miles around the Anglesey tomorrow. Phil said " Now thats what i call going the extra mile, well 70 to be precise - in terms of customer service!".
