Christchurch to Salway Ash (near Bridport). 78 miles. 6 hours 27 min.

Weather - Damp/overcast to start sunny and warm later on

Accommodation - Julie & Tim Richards.

Phil rang in late on Tuesday, after a day punctuated by 2 punctures! This meant that he had a very long day as the first one was in the middle of nowhere. He got the first one mended and then had a 1 mile hill climb along the coast. He got a second puncture after he crashed crossing railway lines! The bike spent the night in a bike shop. Phil has promised to send us some photos taken on his bakelite HMV mobile phone tomorrow, when he heads for Torquay and a luxurious stay in the Imperial Hotel a Spabreak customer owned by the Barcelo group of hotels.

Several firsts today, 1 in 6 hill climb at Abbotsbury, punctures : 2 and also fell off bike slipping on railway lines embedded in quayside in Weymouth (Phil did not hurt himself or the bike thankfully only his pride! )

Photo - Resisted temptation to take short ferry crossing form sandbanks to Studland (ferry in background) and instead cycled several miles around Poole harbour.
Photo 2 - Taking a breather by river Frome at Wareham (dorset).
Photo 3 - View of Lilworth cove (Dorset). Emma and Tim (Hosts from previous night cycled first 11 miles of day from Christchurch to Poole.
Photo 4 - On harbour wall at West Bay (Near Bridport ) with beach in background.
